ABSTRACT
As a photo illustrator, daydreamer and observer, my goal is to create a series of images portraying quirky, make-believe characters in fun, imaginary scenarios. This project spawned from my fascination and curiosity of creating fictional roles and stories of unique people I’ve come across and giving them life through photography. The photographs will be playful and lighthearted, interspersing photomontage and postproduction color toning to enhance fantastical aspects of the imagery. Well thought-out locations will be an integral part of the storytelling and a noticeable portion of the image as well. This project is suited for me respectively as I am drawn to people photography and would like to continue it in the direction of art for commerce. The photographs will be captured digitally with a Canon 5D, processed through Photoshop and printed on Epson 3800 printers. I will present 16-20 images printed 11x17 on matte paper, flush mounted on gator board.
