My good friend Gabriel Zavala shot this years back when I was attempting to film for the Foundation Cataclysmic Abyss Video. In retrospect I have always looked back on that video part as a bit of a disappointment. I had been hurt off and on and spending a good deal of my time working at my day job. I was stressed, not skating good and just kinda bummed on where I was going.
I had gone to this Mill Vally spot a few times intending to do something good over this bar. Coming up short I was kidding around did this little grab. I'm now really stoked on the photo and think it's funny how perspective changes as you feel yourself getting further away from jumping that high.
